Lapa
The Lapa is a special braai (South African for barbeque) area that guests can book and rent for themselves and guests. It has a communal braai where guests may braai their own with us providing the fire, braai-packs, home-baked bread and salads, or else we could do it all for you. The Lapa or (Bona as it is commonly called in South Africa) is a neatly constructed braai (barbeque) area between the lodge and the pools and bathrooms.
- If you wish to braai there, better make a reservation for a specific time slot.
- The Lapa costs R250 cleaning fee and R100 per per hour or part thereof for use. Your time starts when you place any of your items in the Lapa area and ends when you have removed the last of it.
- Others may be waiting for you to finish to start their own braai, so please be considerate. Start wrapping up and vacating at least 15 minutes before your time expires. If there is no one after you, relax, but be aware you may be paying for another hours when you are still using the Lapa after your time has expired.
- Firewood for one braai fire is available at R60 per hour. It has place for two side-by-side.
- Braai packs of beef and pork are available at R150 per pack, that includes a salad and pap or baked bread, and chakalaka.
